TAQA Volt, a branch of TAQA Power from TAQA Arabia group, the energy and utility solutions provider, has partnered with Al-Futtaim Real Estate (AFRE), Egypt’s leading real estate developer, to establish an initial phase of nine electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at Cairo Festival City.

The alliance marks a new era of sustainable development, showcasing both companies’ commitment to creating eco-friendly communities and enhancing customer experiences.

A milestone in sustainable urban development

The collaboration is a key milestone, beginning a wider expansion strategy to increase EV charging stations’ availability across Cairo.

Samy Abdel Kader, Managing Director of TAQA Power, emphasized TAQA Volt’s role as Egypt’s first licensed EV Charging Company and its commitment to spreading its services nationwide.

He said, “This venture is not just about expanding our services geographically, but also about our vision to introduce more sustainable energy solutions across Egypt, reinforcing our commitment to a cleaner, smarter future.”

Ashraf Ezz El-Din, Managing Director for Al-Futtaim Real Estate, shared similar sentiments, highlighting Cairo Festival City as a visionary hub beyond just a project. 

He stated, “Integrating TAQA Volt’s state-of-the-art EV Charging Stations into Cairo Festival City aligns with our goal to build smart, sustainable communities.”
