The taxi venture, which is a collaboration between the GACA and the Public Transport Authority (PTA), is to be offered to public tender.

Photos of the taxis at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah were posted on social media, although the Saudi Gazette stressed these were for “experimental purposes” and full details of the project would be revealed following completion of the tender process.

Further agreements and memorandum of understanding (MoU) have been signed with Jeddah Metro and the Saudi Arabia Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) in a bid to improve passenger transport.
