Abu Dhabi Police release shocking footage of school bus incident
Footage of reckless driving endangering the lives of a busload of children has been released by Abu Dhabi Police.
The move is part of a police campaign warning motorists to take extra care around schools and school busses.
The video posted on social media shows a car swerving dangerously to overtake a school bus.

Stills taken from a police traffic camera show the white saloon turning directly in front of the school bus into a corner, forcing the bus driver to make an emergency stop.
No one was seriously injured in the incident in Abu Dhabi, but police have encouraged people to comment on similar road safety awareness posts to help publicise serious road traffic violations.
“The aim of the initiative is to expose the public to these serious violations,” said Colonel Mohammed Ali Al Muhairi, director of Security Media Department.
“We want to find appropriate solutions to reduce road accidents and minimise the number of traffic accident victims who lose their lives to the reckless behaviour of some road users.
“Abu Dhabi Police is keen to hear the opinions and suggestions of the community in road safety, and the services provided.”
In September, at the start of the new school year, Abu Dhabi Police released a video of a driver hitting a young child stepping off a school bus.
The video showed the school bus indicating its intention to stop, giving the driver ample time to slow down and assess whether a child will be alighting.
Carrying the slogan: "Keep them alive, don't be a killer’, the video was released to help improve safer driving near schools.
Drivers can face a AED 1,000 fine and 10 black points if they don’t stop when the bus 'stop' sign is on.
