Maqta Gateway, an Abu Dhabi Ports company, announced at GITEX the development of a new mobile and web-based App designed to enhance marine traffic and vessel servicing.

MARSA is a fully integrated app intended to simplify, streamline and speed up elements of port services, such as vessel approval to enter Abu Dhabi waters, real-time monitoring of marine traffic, enhancing the process work flow of services related to vessel & ports, and eliminating the need of manual paperwork by covering processes using electronic data.

MARSA also enables users and customers to monitor the real-time operational status and provides access to various statistical and management reports to allow better visibility and control of port operations.

Abu Dhabi Marine Services (SAFEEN) and the Harbour Master of Abu Dhabi Ports will be key users.

The MARSA is a fully integrated application with other related applications including Maqta Gateway’s Shipping Agent and PCS Terminal applications to ensure real-time data exchanges, allowing users to see the status of requests and operations at any time.

“We’re excited to announce the development of the MARSA App here at GITEX, which will contribute immensely to enhanced operational efficiency at Abu Dhabi’s ports,” said Dr. Noura Al Dhaheri, CEO of Maqta Gateway.

“The intuitively designed features of the app will mean lower costs, reduced manpower requirements, quicker response times and smoother, more efficient daily operations for all port users, resulting in an improved operating environment for us all,” she added.

The MARSA App is currently in the pilot phase and is expected to be rolled out commercially towards the end of the year.
