OOCL’s third phase of Ocean Alliance refinements has permanent Jebel Ali calls
OOCL has announced its third phase product refinements of the Ocean Alliance network, of which it is the lead shipping line, with a raft of new services and mainline port calls intended to improve connectivity.
“As the OCEAN Alliance enters its third year of delivering quality products to market, OOCL has constantly been working with our partners to ensure that we continue to bring the best that we can offer to customers,” the line said in a statement. “To that end, we are delighted to announce further refinements to the OCEAN Alliance product mix this year.”
“The third phase of the OCEAN Alliance products have been developed to improve our overall competitive position while meeting the evolving needs of the global supply chain in today’s increasingly volatile market environment,” the statement added.
Changes have been made across 30 separate shipping routes operated by the Ocean Alliance, the full list can be found here, but freight forwarders in the Middle East will be most interested in the new permanent port calls to Jebel Ali.
Connection to the Middle East markets have been strengthened by these permanent port calls to the region’s largest container shipping hub.
Jebel Ali is one of the stops on the new Loop 4 Asia-North Europe service (Pusan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Yantian – Singapore – Algeciras – Southampton – Dunkirk – Hamburg – Rotterdam – Southampton – Le Havre – Malta – Jebel Ali – Port Kelang – Xiamen – Pusan).
It is also a principle port on all four of the Asia-Middle East loops.
