Business is excellent, says Bayanat

New contracts and tie-ups aplenty for IT firm.

A new contract with ADAC and a partnership with Qinetiq has put Bayanat Airports and Engineering company in high spirits.

CEO George Hannouche spoke to Aviation Business at the Airport Show saying it was business as usual at the region’s airports.

“In quarter one, Dubai airport increased its passenger traffic and in Abu Dhabi the airport project is going ahead.”

In fact, Bayanat has recently signed a six-month contract with ADAC for the maintenance of its three terminals.

“This contract is very unusual,” explained Hannouche, “as airports usually employ their own people to maintain FID systems and the IT infrastructure, but by effectively outsourcing the task to us the airport has saved money.”

Hannouche stressed that landing a similar deal with Dubai Airports would be the icing on the cake.

“We would be very keen to get a similar agreement at Dubai and I will be meeting up with the CEO, Paul Griffiths over the next couple of days.”
