Oman has announced that from April 15th all air cargo to and from the country will need to be processed online.

In an advisory issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), it was announced that the process of attaching air freight documents will activate electronically through the Bayan online system from April 15th.

From that date onwards, all paper documents will be discontinued.

"The General Administration of Customs announces that starting on 15 April, 2018, the use of paper-documents for air cargo will be discontinued, and will activate the process of attaching air cargo documents electronically via Bayan system,” the ROP said in a statement.

"All offices, clearance and air cargo companies, airlines, importers, and exporters through airport outlets should take into consideration the contents of the declaration," the ROP added.
