The new tyres, with summer and winter tyre technology and designed for the world’s toughest driving conditions, were presented to the public at the Goodwood Festival of Speed along with the unique electric sports utility vehicle.
The new service centre, which is located on 4th Street in Al Quoz 1, was opened by executives from Continental, Royal Step Car Services and Emirates for Universal Tyres (EUT), the sole distributor for Continental in the UAE.
The new line-up has been developed to meet the exacting demands of vehicles utilised in terminal operations.
A Continental veteran of almost 20 years, Kucera took on the new role on 1 March 2019 and will be based in the company’s regional office in Dubai, overseeing more than 19 markets across the region.
The new warehouse in Jebel Ali will act as a hub connecting plants in Europe, North America and South America with the brand’s distribution partners in the Middle East.
In addition to the V.ply tyres, Continental’s radial tyres for port applications and ContiConnect will be available in the Middle East by 2019.
ContiConnect monitors, analyses and reports data about tyre temperature and pressure for commercial fleets maximising efficiency with more uptime and lower maintenance costs.
