Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO), a manufacturer, seller, and distributor in the food sector, has launched its advanced sales depot in Makkah, a significant milestone in the company’s growth and sustainability journey.
Commencing in May of the previous year and reaching completion in November 2023, the project represents SADAFCO’s commitment to operational efficiency, value chain enhancement, and regional development.
Growing demand
Addressing the increasing demand for food supplies in the vicinity, SADAFCO’s strategic move aims to deliver efficient and sustainable service.
The depot in MODON industrial city spans 8,000 m², with a built-up area of 2,800 m² and a storage space of 2,300 m².
It stands out with its solar energy capabilities, covering a 2,400 m² roof area capable of producing 350 kW, showing the company’s dedication to eco-friendly practices.

Innovation to the fore
The facility marks a significant step in SADAFCO’s expansion, aligning with its innovation-driven philosophy.
It promises cost-effective operations, an optimised supply chain, and improved service to Makkah’s surrounding areas.
The depot boasts a storage capacity of 1,500 pallets for ambient goods and 760 for frozen goods, with potential expansion capabilities.
Patrick Stillhart, CEO of SADAFCO, expressed excitement over the depot’s launch, highlighting its alignment with the company’s sustainability and societal well-being goals.
He stated, “SADAFCO has an established sales and distribution network throughout Saudi Arabia and the GCC region. We are committed to delighting consumers and working to meet the growing demand in the neighbouring cities and the geographical importance of its location.”
The company, bolstered by its feasibility and market studies, plans to develop more sustainability-centric projects, including eight additional solar-powered locations. These initiatives aim to reduce reliance on the national grid, benefiting the environment and SADAFCO’s workforce.
