Al-Futtaim Logistics was awarded the trophy for Automotive Supply Chain Management of the Year at the Logistics Middle East Awards 2017.

With the vast majority of cars and commercial vehicles imported into the region arriving in a turnkey state, and with some automotive 3PLs offering assembly and detailing as well as other added-value services, this award recognises those companies committed to enhancing the standards of this sector.

Al-Futtaim is maintaining a 48-hour turnaround time for vehicles deliveries that includes pre-delivery inspection and accessory fittings and delivery to the showroom within 48 hours of a car being bought.

In addition, it has maintained a DNV-audited damage rate below 0.013%, which is unmatched in the GCC automotive industry.

“This is an extremely prestigious award, and the award ceremony itself is the longest and best known in the region. It has a reputation for unbiased judging and is backed up by Logistics Middle East magazine, which is a well-respected brand,” said Raman Kumar, managing director, Al-Futtaim Logistics.

“Al-Futtaim Logistics is focused on the customer’s wants. We’ve streamlined our services so that the customer receives their deliveries within 48 hours,” he added. “This has enabled our customers to offer better customer experience and gain competitive edge in the market.  These changes are achieved without scaling up manpower or equipment needed for this lead time.  It is more about having the correct process in place.”
