Inaugural undertaking

The new department’s inaugural project encompassed transporting a massive oil and gas consignment from the UAE’s Jebel Ali Port to Iraq’s Umm Qasr Port, marking a significant milestone, and showcasing the company’s ability to handle large-scale complex operations.

The mega shipment weighed approximately 500 tonnes, occupying over 5,000 cubic meters in volume.

The firm employed a combination of break bulk, and specialised equipment, including flat racks and open-top containers, alongside standard containers to complete the transport endeavour.

The consignment comprised various oil and gas equipment including modules, tools, pipes, and other tools crucial to the energy sector.

Some of the most complex items exceeded 80 tonnes in weight and stretched over 22 meters in length.

Zajel’s recent expansion aims to address the surging demand for logistics services in the region.

Since its inception in 2008, the company has delivered over 42 million shipments across more than 200 countries.
