Jet Airways was forced to delay a Doha-bound flight on 15th August 2011 following a bomb threat.
An anonymous note was discovered by a passenger onboard the flight, moments before the Indian airline was scheduled to depart from Mumbai International Airport, a spokesperson from Jet Airways confirmed to NDTV.
“Jet Airways duly informed all the requisite authorities of the same, including the CISF and the Mumbai Airports Authority in the interest of safety for its guests and crew,” the spokesperson stated.
Once passengers were escorted back to the airport, the aircraft was returned to its parking bay for a thorough inspection.
According to the spokesperson, the rescheduled flight took off at 10.30pm.
