Sharaf Shipping Agency has announced the launch of a security solution for vessels that cross the Gulf of Aden.
The service, which is being operated in partnership with US-based SEAL Security Solutions, includes the provision of a security team with 6 men and 4 assault dogs, in addition to round-the-clock observers, a 24 patrol team on deck and a tactical leader.
“Maritime piracy and terrorism has emerged as a formidable threat in the world, impacting negatively on the seaborne trade and commerce,” the company stated in a press release.
“With this service, we want to instil the confidence that is required to carry out any logistics operation through the piracy affected areas.”
