The annual Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATAs) take place on Wednesday 22 April at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City.

The SCATAs celebrates the great and the good of the logistics, air cargo and sea freight communities in the Middle East.

Since its introduction in 2007, the SCATAs have become the definitive awards programme for supply chain and transport professionals, working in the Middle East.

A SCATA trophy adorns some of the most prominent logistics leaders’ mantelpieces and each award category is hotly contested every year. Now in it’s ninth year, the SCATAs will continue to expand and reflect the ever changing industry.

The ceremony is attended each year by senior executives and recognised figures from the industry, making the SCATAs a red letter occasion and an evening not to miss for anyone working in materials handling, logistics, and the wider supply chain sector.

“The market opportunity in the Arabian Peninsula, together with the fierce competition to succeed in the lucrative supply chain and transportation sector, means the Middle East is producing some of the most impressive players in the global logistics industry,” comments Walid Akawi, CEO of ITP Publishing Group.

“The SCATA awards will make a welcome return in 2015 to recognise those regional and international companies that stand out from this exalted crowd. The nominees will once again include a combination of regional and international players that have gone above and beyond in terms of their industry contribution,” he adds.

A welcome reception for this year’s SCATAs begins at 7.30pm and the event includes 15 categories in total.

Nominations were invited online and assessed by a prestigious judging panel of experts, selected from within the Middle East logistics industry.
