Technology Solutions Provider of the Year goes to Tristar at Logistics ME Awards
Tristar Group won the award for Technology Solutions Provider of the Year at the Logistics Middle East Awards 2019 in Dubai, primarily due to its industry-leading blockchain implementation that has significantly enhanced its chemical logistics operation.
“It’s a great honour to win in this category for the second year in a row, we were up against some very strong competition and when the names were read out of the companies we were up against it became clear how competitive the category was,” said Adam Lalani, group head of IT at Tristar Group.
In fact, Technology Solutions Provider of the Year was the most competitive of all the categories in the awards program, receiving more nominations than any other. This reinforces the changing nature of the logistics landscape as companies increasingly turn to automation and other technology solutions to streamline operations and reduce cost within the industry.
“I’m very pleased to have won and it’s a great testament to the effort of the team back at the office that make this possible,” Lalani added. “Our blockchain initiatives have added immeasurable value to the company. When I joined the company just a few years ago our technology strategy was fairly immature, but we’ve now turned that around entirely thanks to the vision of our CEO Eugene Mayne.”
The Logistics Middle East Awards, hosted by the magazine Logistics Middle East and its online platform LogisticsMiddleEast.com, are an annual event that celebrate excellence in the supply chain, with categories that are intended to reflect the specialisation by vertical of various logistics and supply chain stakeholders.
Nominations for next year’s event will open in August, 2019.
