Al-Futtaim launches credit card payments for UAE last mile

Al-Futtaim Logistics has introduced a credit card payment service in the UAE for B2C customer transactions in the last mile and its relocation services.

The new point of sale (POS) service is part of Al-Futtaim Logistics’ customer centric enhancements, giving customers the flexibility of multiple payment options, the company said in a release.

Paul Wagstaff, general manager of finance at Automotive Finance, was the first customer to use the new payment option, using his Al-Futtaim Credit Card at the launch event in Festival City.

“I am very satisfied by the service that I received for the relocations and handyman services offered by Al-Futtaim Logistics,” he said.

“Choosing to pay via credit card gives me additional flexibility, whilst allowing me to benefit from my credit card’s rewards programme,” Wagstaff added.

The new service will allow new customers to choose Al-Futtaim Logistics’ as a preference, as they can take advantage of their credit card benefits.

“The launch of this service will create ease for our customers, especially in the retail and ecommerce sector,” said Binoy George, general manager, contract logistics.

“The service is aimed at providing a higher level of customer satisfaction, especially with our ambitious plans to continuously grow the third party customer base in this sector,” he added.

In a B2C market, which sees higher transaction frequency, the use of a cred card for payment is significantly simpler in comparison to traditional methods.
