Tristar Group has opened two new facilities in Oman and Abu Dhabi to enhance its integrated logistics services to the downstream petroleum industry in the GCC.

The new truck staging and workshop facility at ICAD 2 or Industrial City in Abu Dhabi 2 has  50,000 square meters of area offering tailor-made logistics service options to customers for transport, warehousing, storage and distribution services.

The facility is strategically located near Khalifa Port and also the main highway connecting the UAE with Saudi Arabia.

“Our new facility in Abu Dhabi reinforces our confidence in investing in the UAE economy which is expected to strengthen with the UAE Government’s recent regulations extending visa terms and providing greater support to investors,” says Tristar Group CEO, Eugene Mayne.

The Oman facility is located in the Rusayl Industrial Estate, which is situated 20 kilometres from Muscat International Airport.

The estate hosts a wide spectrum of consumer as well as industrial-oriented products, ranging from chemicals, electrical and building materials, fibre optic cables, foodstuff, textiles; garments, and paints, among others.

The new facility, which is in Phase 2, has a total plot of 15,000 square meters with a 2-storey office building and a 5-bay workshop with two inspection pits and a wash-down bay.

It can store products outside and inside the warehouse. Its location gives easier access to transport fuel and supplies to the rest of Oman as it is at the edge of Muscat with no road restriction.

“We have been operating on leased facilities in Abu Dhabi and Oman for several years. We have decided to make some investments to consolidate our capabilities in the GCC region and the locations selected in Abu Dhabi and Oman are the result of network planning and selecting the best locations to support our customers’ operations and business growth strategy,” said Mayne.
