Nikai updates Dubai warehouse technology

Nikai Group has purchased the Exactus to boost its supply chain.

Nikai Group has purchased the warehouse and transportation management solutions from Exactus to boost its supply chain operations in the Middle East.

The company, which operates in the general trade, electronics and retail sectors, has issued a contract for the implementation of both systems with Dubai-based Business Systems Group (BSG), a regional partner for Exactus.

"We understand the importance of selecting the best technology available to boost our efficiencies and productivity, whilst maintaining our leadership position in the electronics distribution industry," said Vikas Bansal, logistics manager, Nikai Group.

"After researching the market, we selected the Aware warehouse and transportation systems from Exactus to raise the standards in our distribution centres at Jebel Ali Free Zone and Dubai Investment Park. The technology is designed to increase visibility into our supply chain, which will help to optimise inventory levels and eliminate non-value added costs."

Nikai Group also plans to utilise the systems for its proposed entry into the third party logistics market in the United Arab Emirates and other Middle Eastern countries.

"Diversification will play an important role in our future growth and we want to leverage our large warehouse infrastructure by providing third party logistics services to other companies," added Bansal. "The technology from Exactus will allow us to manage various customer accounts independently within the same framework, leading to a higher level of customer satisfaction."
