Dubai Trade, ADNIC to provide cargo insurance online

Firms reveal details on new marine e-cargo solutions.

Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC) entered into a joint agreement with Dubai Trade to introduce a Marine E-Cargo solution accessible via Dubai Trade’s online insurance platform called “TradeShield” this week.

Through this new service, Dubai Trade customers will be able to use ADNIC’s Marine Cargo Insurance Services and e-cargo solutions.

The partnership will facilitate customers to get online quotations for one-off shipments and Dubai Trade’s customers can also generate insurance certificates for their open cover shipments on a real-time basis. This will avoid delays, physical visits and manual work by converting the insurance cover purchases in a straight through process.

Eng. Mahmood Al Bastaki, chief executive officer of Dubai Trade welcomed the joint agreement and the MOU signing with ADNIC and acknowledged the important contribution that ADNIC can make to Dubai Trade’s online insurance service platform “TradeShield”.

He also expressed his appreciation to the entire team for being proactive and the first to join the platform, Al Bastaki added that “we are optimistic to have ADNIC as one of the pioneers to provide Marine Insurance Services on Dubai Trade Portal, we are confident that this successful collaboration will further enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our online services and attend to the needs and concerns of the trade and logistics community in the region.”

The TradeShield online service offers ease of use, strengthened by a platform offering direct integration to ADNIC’s Marine E-Cargo solution. Customers can complete the end-to-end process of purchasing insurance online including payments, allowing companies independent and immediate access to insurance cover issuance.
