Got a spare ship? This Iraqi firm needs one by today!
The Iraqi Oil Tanker Company (IOTC) is on the lookout for a new ship, and it needs it by today.
IOTC says it needs a vessel between 6,000-dwt and 10,000-dwt, built no earlier than 2012.
“Iraqi Oil Tanker Company (state company) wishes to advertise the tender of purchasing a product tanker with tonnage of 6000-dwt to 10000-dwt, building year not less than 2012. The term and specifications obtained directly by contact our office in Basrah against US$172,000 non refundable amount,” read a statement on the company’s website.
It says those who wish to present their offers should submit two endorsed close envelopes, the first envelope, should contain the commercial offer, and the second one should contain the technical offer.
They should write on each envelope the name and number of the tender with closing date, the commercial offer should include the amount of primary money that is 1% out of the tender in certified cheque or letter of guarantee issued by approved bank in Iraq.
IOTC says any offers not fulfilling the conditions and the specifications will be neglected and claims the company is not obliged to accept the lowest tender.
The tender closes this Sunday, 10 November 2013.
