Qatar's Nakilat records Q2 profit drop
The Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) has announced a drop in profits for the second quarter of 2013.
The liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping company recorded a net profit of 182.4 million riyals ($50 million) in the three months to June 30. This was decrease from 204.1 million riyals in the same three months last year.
For the first half of 2013 net profit was 359.6 million riyals – down from the 2012 first half recorded net profit of 380.8 million riyals.
A loss on derivative instruments has been attributed to the drop in profits.
