Ports America will provide terminal and stevedoring services for Liberty Global Logistics LLC’s (LGL) new monthly service of vehicles to the Middle East from Providence, Rhode Island, with the first sailing scheduled for July 27 on M/V Glovis Composer.

Although initial volumes on this dedicated Middle East service may be a modest 300 used vehicles, the business is expected to grow rapidly into a fortnightly service within a year based upon targeted cargo support and realised operational efficiencies.

Ports of call include Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Pakistan, India, UAE, Iraq and Kuwait.

Ports America, headquartered in New Jersey, is the largest independent marine terminal operator and stevedore company in the United States. The company currently operates in more than 42 ports and 80 locations.
