Kale Logistics launches new Cargo Community System

Indian firm unveils system at IATA e-cargo Conference 2013.

India’s Kale Logistics unveiled its new Cargo Community System (CCS 2.0) at the IATA e-cargo Conference 2013 that took place in Geneva, Switzerland from the 18th to the 20th of June.

According to the firm, the CCS 2.0 on UPLIFT (Universal Platform for Logistics and Integrated Freight Transport) goes beyond EDI exchange to deliver a collaborative platform that truly connects all the stakeholders of the cargo supply chain.

"The CCS 2.0 on UPLIFT comes after extensive discussion with stakeholders and is designed to simplify the electronic collaboration between multiple participants so as to deliver the vital benefits across the value chain. In this respect CCS 2.0 on the UPLIFT platform is a transformational solution which has seen the significant adoption in India. The system is currently being used by 2,500+ users and has the distinction of enabling the fastest one million transaction volume in a developing market," said Amar More, SVP, Kale Logistics Solutions.

Using the system airlines can receive the booking and waybill data electronically eliminating staff time and paper management. Airlines can also give shipment visibility information to the forwarders and/or shippers.

The system can also be implemented for forwarders, customs house agents and transporters.
