Maximus extends relief air services
Maximus Air Cargo has agreed to expand its partnership with the UAE Red Crescent to cover all relief air transport service requirements both regionally and internationally.
The partnership is designed to ensure greater efficiency and cost effective solutions are added to the charity organisation's quest to provide humanitarian aid worldwide.
"We are committed to provide the UAE's Red Crescent with the most efficient service by using our strong expertise in the industry."
"With the consensus of not earning any profit, we guarantee that the Red Crescent will benefit from the most cost-effective air transportation available in the market," said Fathi Hilal Buhazza, president and CEO, Maximus Air Cargo.
The capabilities of the Maximus fleet proved a defining factor behind the move, in particular the Lockheed L382G.
The aircraft has a long association with humanitarian relief missions due to its ability to carry up to 20 tonnes and land on short runways with minimal ground support equipment.
"Their upgraded Hercules L382G has already proven to be indispensable for most of our operations since it is designed to drop goods from the air," said Dr Saleh Mohammed Al Mullah, deputy secretary general, UAE Red Crescent Authority.
