Supply Chain and Transport Awards nominations now open
Nominations have officially opened for this year’s Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATA), which sees the leading players from the Middle East logistics industry go head to head for trade honours in the prestigious awards ceremony.
The seventh annual event, organised by ITP Publishing, publisher of Logistics Middle East and LogisticsMiddleEast.com, will be hosted at a five-star hotel in Dubai on April 24. FAMCO will be the gold sponsor of the event, while Al-Futtaim Logistics will be a category sponsor.
SCATA 2013 will include 16 categories in total, covering the logistics, sea freight and air cargo sectors in the Middle East. These include the Express Logistics Provider of the Year and 3PL Service Provider of the Year awards, which honour companies that have consistently delivered world-class services and facilities across the region over the past year. In addition, the Supply Chain of the Year category will be awarded to a company that continues to raise standards with their regional operations.
Nominations for the SCATA’s will close on March 10, 2012. All entries must be submitted online and can be made by the nominee themselves or a customer/supplier/partner.
“This region continues to set the benchmark in both warehousing and transportation,” said Walid Akawi, CEO of ITP Business Publishing.
“Supported by ongoing investment in infrastructure throughout the Middle East, the region is producing some outstanding logistics companies, comparable to any in the world. It is against this exciting backdrop, the Supply Chain and Transport Awards make a welcome return in 2013.”
