Emirates flight EK-201 from Dubai to New York JFK aborted an approach attempt on December 20 due to an issue with the brakes, The Aviation Herald has reported.

The aircraft was on final approach when the crew decided to turn around, reporting a technical issue with the brakes that was degrading brake performance.

About 30 minutes after aborting the first approach, the aircraft with 509 people on board landed safely.
