Drydocks World signs JV to maintain warships

MoU signed with Privinvest Holding for upgrade and refit services.

Drydocks World, one of the largest shipyards in the world, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Privinvest Holding, which will see it offer upgrade and refit services for warships and mega yachts.

The deal will see the pair develop a specialist business targeting South East Asia in general and Indonesia specifically.

“This MoU further enhances our strategic business direction and will create the required synergies to reaffirm our global foothold by offering specialized high-end engineering, designing and construction services jointly with Privinvest Group," said Drydocks World and Maritime World chairman Khamis Juma Buamim.

"We aim to provide the latest technologies and techniques with enhanced capabilities.

"We aspire to offer advanced and sophisticated solutions in Project Management and Services to all our customers.”

Iskandar Safa, CEO of Privinvest Holding, said: “Our two groups will join forces to become an integrated service provider to the Naval and Yacht business."
