India, is toying with the idea of setting up new cargo complexes at Surat and Indore. For the Indore venture, the company has already participated in a tender issued by Airport Authority of India (AAI). Sameer Mankad, GSECL director, said: “The company is mulling over establishing a cargo complex in Surat. At present, the work at Surat Airport is ongoing. When the work is completed, the company will initiate the process of setting up the cargo complex.”
Makand said, once the aiport is fully functional, the company would have to seek permission from the AAI for setting up the complex.
