US firm wins $23m Saudi navy support contract
US-based Booz Allen Hamilton said on Sunday it has been awarded a $23.2m contract to provide training and support services for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF).
Booz Allen Hamilton, a leading provider of management and technology consulting services to the US government in defence, intelligence, and civil markets, will provide support services associated with Saudi Naval Support Programme requirements in the US and Saudi Arabia.
Work will be performed primarily in the Gulf kingdom with some support from staff at the firm's US headquarters, and is expected to be completed in July 2013.
Don Pressley, Booz Allen Hamilton's MENA general manager, said: "We have the skillset and broad naval experience required to provide this continued support for the RSNF's role in the region, as well as the proven ability to provide solutions that bridge strategy, design, and implementation activities with the best possible results."
The contract is covered by the FMS programme of the United States, which facilitates the sales of US military equipment, services and training to the allied sovereign nations.
