Etihad awards fuel supply contract to omanoil

Carrier signs contract for jet fuel at Muscat International Airport.

Oman Oil Marketing Company (omanoil) has signed an aviation fuel agreement to become Etihad Airways’ sole provider in the Sultanate.

The company will supply jet fuel to the UAE carrier’s aircraft landing in Muscat International Airport and extend technical, logistical and engineering support.

"Signing this contract with a world-renowned carrier of this calibre reinforces our globally-recognised aviation expertise and capabilities," said Ahmad Kamel Mahmud, general manager of aviation and marine fuels at omanoil.

"We remain committed to quality and efficiency in parallel to safety and security measurements of regulatory requirements, and have institutionalised a number of measures to control fuel quality at every stage of the supply chain, from the refinery to the plane."

omanoil has signed a number of exclusive contracts with leading global carriers such as British Airways, Swiss Air, Lufthansa, Thai Airways and Biman Bangladesh.
