Passengers booked on a Saudi Arabian Airlines flight from Cairo to Riyadh were delayed by three-and-a-half hours on Sunday, after emergency repair work was conducted on one of the national carrier’s aircraft.

The Airbus A320-200 was involved in a technical incident earlier on the same day while approaching the Egyptian capital on flight SV-311, when a bird impacted the left hand wing, according to Aviation Herald.

Pilots landed the aircraft safely and repair work was completed on the ground, leading to a delay on the return flight (SV-310).
