DHL Express announces new service into Iraq
DHL has officially extended its DHL ECONOMY SELECT service into Iraq, the company announced this week.
This new service will complement the existing Time Definite services and will serve countries across the GCC and Levant with a slower transit time offering.
“No one knows the Middle East like DHL, and as we continue to expand our network and services, we continue to provide our customers with more cost-effective options. The new Day Definite service will provide unprecedented logistical solutions in Iraq,” said Nour Suliman, CEO of DHL Express MENA.
DHL ECONOMY SELECT has been successfully tested earlier this year and will now link the GCC and Levant regions to Iraq with an integrated road and air network.
“The new service will eliminate weight and size restrictions into Iraq and provide an economically attractive solution to customers who ship less urgent and heavier weight consignments,” added Suliman.
DHL was the first international logistics company to establish operations in Iraq in 2003 and since then, has expanded across the country with 18 Service Points and three main gateways in Iraq’s key cities; Erbil, Baghdad and Basra.
