Dubai maritime firm launches Zero Harm campaign
Drydocks World and Maritime World has launched ‘Zero Harm’ and state-of-the-art environmentally friendly technologies.
‘Zero Harm’ is a health, safety and environmental initiative aimed at zero fatalities, zero injuries and zero environmental damage, strengthening its commitment to a safe and healthy workplace.
“We are proud of our credentials in environment management and occupational health and safety and have done exceptionally well in implementing strategies aimed at improving the well-being of our human resources and the environment they work in,” said Khamis Juma Buamim, chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World.
“We believe in continual improvement and operational excellence as we pledge to achieve optimum productivity levels and the highest health, safety and security and environment standards.”
New technology is also being employed to increase safety and protect the environment. Chariot Robotics Envirobots replace grit blasting for the removal of marine and industrial coatings. Other initiatives include LED lights to replace halogen lights, refrigerant gas recovery, and air monitoring units.
