East and West Express, the logistics division of Saudi conglomerate ATCO Group, has signed a general sales agency agreement (GSA) with Singapore Airlines in the central province of the kingdom, effective from January 1st, 2012.

The deal, which sees East and West Express support the development of the Singapore Airlines cargo network in the central province, provides a solid foundation for the firm’s expansion.

“This is a superb opportunity for our group to be associated with and support the development of the Singapore Airlines cargo network within the central province. With 600 scheduled weekly flights to 37 countries and 73 cities globally, the potential for growth in the Riyadh market is enormous, said general manager of East and West Express, David Scott.

The executive vice president of ATCO Group, Fahad Alturki added on behalf of the group, “[that] the East and West Express business is embarking on a massive expansion to its current business. A soon to be finalised acquisition, combined with a recent US$3 million investment in a new Riyadh facility, will place the business as the premier provider of dangerous goods movements within the kingdom.“

East and West Express offers transportation and logistics services on a domestic and international basis. Its head office is located in Dammam.
