Geodis Wilson appoints new vertical market director
Geodis Wilson has announced the appointment of Gilbert den Bekker as its global vertical market director, retail and fashion.
Based at Geodis Wilson’s office in Paris, France, he will be in charge of developing and expanding the company’s logistics services in the retail and fashion sector worldwide.
den Bekker, 39 has extensive experience in the retail and fashion sectors, having worked for many years at companies such as DHL, Danzas and Grimaud International.
He began his career at Grimaud in 1993 and joined Danzas Fashion in 2000 as international sales manager. In 2005, he became director of business development, fashion at DHL, with responsibility for logistics and supply chain services specifically within the European fashion sector. Later, he served as director account development, fashion and retail, and subsequently as regional customer manager.
