Agility denies US government charges in court
Logistics firm Agility pleaded not guilty in an Atlanta federal court yesterday to charges that it defrauded the US government, bloomberg reports.
The US government alleges that the firm overcharged on a contract to supply food to US troops.
According to Bloomberg, Agility, also known as Public Warehousing Co, denied accusations that it filed false invoices or conspired to pay premium prices to inflate its profit.
Prosecutors allege the company encouraged suppliers it dealt with to unnecessarily inflate costs.
Federal prosecutors have said they will continue the investigation into the firm and its suppliers.
