Dubai Customs has topped the globe at the annual Enterprise & IT Architecture World Summit, winning the coveted Transformation and Planning Category and beating Dell, Northrop and IBM in the process.

Granted by iCMG 2011, Dubai Customs won the award from an impressive list of competitors including the USA, Holland, Britain, South Africa, India, Brazil and Singapore.

The award, the first of its kind to be received by the Arab world, recognises the department’s efficiency, as well as the advanced platform which helps managers and those in-charge to process the analysis required for change with the purpose of offering top service delivery standards to its clients, employees and partners.

Highlighting the significance of the Award, H.E. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, executive chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and Dubai Customs director general, said: “The award is a real translation of the Department’s ongoing endeavors to develop a world-class Enterprise Architecture (EA) matrix in this domain and fulfill the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE’s Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.”
