TNT Express expands Middle East flight network
TNT Express has announced it will be expanding its air operations to and within Iraq to support the rapidly increasing commercial activities of its key clients.
As part of the expansion, the firm has increased its daily flights to Iraq to reach six flights per week becoming the only express delivery provider with high frequency.
Tim Frank, general manager for TNT Associates in the Middle East and Indian sub-continent, said: “Multinational companies are competing over the reconstruction contracts and have invested heavily in creating the appropriate infrastructure to support their presence. We needed to improve the connectivity of our Middle East operations to ensure continued service excellence for our customers while paving the way for profitable growth.”
The new air network expansion will play a crucial role in Iraq’s recovering economy due to the continuous demand for high quality express services.
Customers will have the opportunity to send larger and heavier items through its Economy Express service, providing the features of an express operator at the costs of an airfreight supplier.
