TNT Express receives TAPA Certification in the UAE

Firm announces certification makes company TAPA compliant until 2013.

TNT Express UAE has announced it has received TAPA Certification for 2011-2013, with an audit score of 97% for its main DX7 Depot located in Al Qusais.

Commenting on the importance of receiving the certification Bryan Moulds, managing director for TNT Express Middle East, said: "A high level of security is crucial when handling our customers’ valuable consignments. The TAPA certification has played a major role in maintaining a notable standard in the logistics industry across the Middle East region.”

Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) is a global forum of security, insurance and logistics professionals established to ensure the safe and secure transport, storage and warehousing of TAPA members assets throughout the world.

TAPA certified companies must pass a detailed independent physical premises audit to ensure compliance with numerous Freight Security Requirements (FSRs) including; Access Control, Employee Checks, Perimeter Security, Intruder Security Devices, Monitoring Systems, High Value Storage Areas, and Transit Delays, amongst others.
