Emirates Airline restructures India operations
Emirates, the Dubai based International airline, has appointed Sunil Kallyat as regional manager of Western India. Creation of this strategic position comes in wake of importance of India operations and ensuring better service standards.
Kallyat will be based in Mumbai and will oversee Emirates’ Airport, Cargo, Engineering and Commercial Operations in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad comprising the Western India portfolio. This restructuring is expected to support Emirates’ growing India operations and help consolidate its leadership position in India. Combined, Emirates operates 66 weekly flights out of Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad to Dubai.
Speaking about the appointment, Orhan Abbas, Emirates Vice President, India and Nepal, said, "Sunil is an integral member of the Emirates India team and has a keen understanding of the industry. His focussed approach and in-depth knowledge will be key to growing our business in Western India very efficiently. I wish him all the best on his new role and we endeavour to achieve greater success from the region."
Kallyat carries a wealth of experience having worked in the aviation industry for over 20 years.
Emirates operates 185 flights per week from 10 destinations in India including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Trivandrum, Kolkata, Kozhikode and Kochi.
