Fuel shortage should end before Ramadan
The fuel drought which has left the northern emirate of Sharjah dry, could be coming to an end, says a top official in an interview with Gulf News.
With Ramadan approaching , the government will consider adding more staff and increasing the hours of operaration at Adnoc and Emarat stations in the emirate, the official said.
“There will also be less demand as residents travel abroad,” he added.
The Sharjah Executive Council will meet today in order to resolve the issue which has been ongoing for a number of months, but has worsened recently after Enoc and Eppco pumps in the emirate ran completely dry.
An Enoc Group spokesman who refused to be named, said, he agreed the company needed to be more transparent, but he could not comment any further on the issue.
