Dubai Trade expands service offering
Dubai Trade, the trade facilitator under Dubai World, announced yesterday the introduction of new value-added services for the portal’s users, both registered and unregistered. The new offerings include real-time access to the e-services of its partners, Emirates SkyCargo and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Dubai Trade customers seeking air freight services will now be able to check Emirates SkyCargo’s flight schedules and space availability, get price quotes, make bookings, and track up to 10 shipments by airway bill or job reference numbers. Uploading shipment related documents through the secure portal will enable distribution to any other party in the supply chain. Customers can also download software for Barcode Label Printing to generate industry standard labels for their cargo and print them.
Dubai Trade’s partnership with the RTA allows the portal’s users, including unregistered visitors, access to services including vehicle registration renewal, which can be done in minutes. As many as 100 vehicle registrations can be processed in a single transaction. The applicant can pay online using a credit card or e-Dirham card and a temporary Vehicle Registration approval is printed by the company on-the-spot. The vehicle is registered as soon as the temporary Vehicle Registration approval document is printed and it can immediately be driven.
“The integration of services offered by Emirates Sky Cargo and the Roads & Transport Authority into Dubai Trade’s online portal is another step towards our efforts to further strengthen Dubai’s position as the regions’ leader in e-commerce and e-services," said Mahmood Al Bastaki, director, Dubai Trade. "The value addition introduced by this initiative will benefit all our customers from the supply chain sector, as well as unregistered visitors to our website. We remain committed to enhancing customer experience on Dubai Trade portal through more innovations."
