Emirates diverts UK flight after medical scare
A recent flight from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to London Heathrow (UK) was diverted by Emirates Airline, after a 55-year-old male passenger complained about heart problems.
The Dubai-based carrier was performing Flight EK-7 on 9th May 2011 when the incident occurred, according to a report in the Aviation Herald.
The Boeing 777-300, which had 357 people on board at the time, was diverted to Bucharest's Otopeni, where it landed safely.
The passenger is reported on the way to recovery after being taken to a local hospital. The aircraft, meanwhile, reached London with a delay of 3 hours and 25 minutes.
