Tusdeer builds warehouse capacity at Jeddah Port
Saudi Industrial Services Company (SISCO), owner and operator of the first bonded and re-export zone at Jeddah Islamic Port, has signed a contract to build more 15 warehouses at the port.
The value of the project, which is overseen by SISCO’s Saudi Trade & Export Development Company (Tusdeer) division, is SR 33 million.
The warehouses, collectively known as Warehouse Village III, offer total storage space of 16,000 m2. Along with earlier developments, this increases Tusdeer’s space at the port to 50,000 m2.
Already, the company is looking at building a Warehouse Village IV.
The consultant on the project is Jamjoom and Sahara Building Contractors is the contractor.
Amongst the services enjoyed at Tusdeer are duty exemption, savings on demurrage and rentals, consolidation, packing, re-packaging and re-stickering. Cargo from local suppliers can be combined with cargo stored inside Tusdeer for re-export.
