Qatar Airways to hire 10,500 over three years

Qatar Airways plans to hire 3500 staff annually over each of the next three years.

With employee levels currently at 19,000, the increase would take headcount towards the 30,000 mark.

“Having expanded at a significant pace over the past 14 years, we are continuing the ambitious growth strategy with vigour and, with it, present tremendous amount of job opportunitie," said Akbar Al Baker, chief executive officer, Qatar Airways.

The airline has five A380s on order, in addition to 80 A350s and 60 Boeing 787s.

It currently flies to 99 destinations, a figure that will grow to 120 within three years.
