Air Arabia to increase number of Kenya flights
Air Arabia will increase its frequency to Nairobi with daily flights to the Kenyan capital.
The low-cost airline currently offers four flights a week to Nairobi. Starting 7th April, 2011, it will offer direct flights seven times a week, departing Sharjah International Airport daily at 9:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flights depart Sharjah at 18:00 pm. Return flights depart Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 14:05PM and 23:25PM respectively.
“We are extremely pleased to announce the expansion of our service between Sharjah and the Kenyan capital, Nairobi which will further enhance the air travel options for the residents of both Countries” said AK Nizar, head of commercial department, Air Arabia. “We look forward to see the positive contribution the increase of flights will have on the over all tourism of the vibrant city of Nairobi”.
Nizar added that the region has also shown a lot of potential especially for traders and Nairobi has become a business hub for the East African region noting that Nairobi has proven to be a very lucrative market for trade in the Middle East.
Air Arabia started operations in Kenya in October 2008 with three flights a week to UAE.
