DHL boosts Middle East fleet with 13 new trucks
DHL Express has enhanced its Economy Select service in the Middle East with the introduction of 13 new trucks into its regional fleet, which will provide the capacity needed to meet anticipated demand, according to Garry Kemp, managing director of the logistics company in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.
“Our network capabilities are being reinforced for DHL to grow in tandem with key markets such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates,” stated Kemp. “Our small and medium sized customers (SMEs) are increasingly keen to explore price competitive delivery options such as DHL Economy Select, a day definite, scheduled door-to-door express delivery service that offers businesses an alternative that best suits their needs – in terms of speed, price and type of shipment.”
The authorised distributor of Renault Trucks in Bahrain, A. A. Bin Hindi, supplied the DHL-branded Renault vehicles, which have been equipped with the latest GPS (satellite tracking system) technology.
“We are proud that DHL has decided to add more Renault Trucks to their fleet, which reflects their confidence in the brand. This partnership will bolster DHL’s efforts to meet increasing demands of individual and corporate customers”, said Khalid Bin Hindi, vice president of A. A. Bin Hindi.
