Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) is to provide Gulf Air with a wide range of training programmes.

Samer Majali, CEO of Gulf Air and Tim Shattock, CEO of GAA signed an agreement, under which pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers, cabin crew and ground staff will receive training.

“GAA has very good facilities that cover most aspects of airline operations, in addition to its Airbus simulators and soon-to-be-installed Embraer simulator,” said Majali.

“This is an advantage for Gulf Air as we operate both Airbus and Embraer fleets and will be able to get our pilots and engineers trained right here in Bahrain at the comprehensive GAA campus.”

GAA has received accreditations from the UK-CAA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Its facilities include two A320 Simulators, one A330/340 simulator and an Embraer E170/190 simulator. It also offers emergency evacuation training (EET), wet drill training, fire and smoke training and cabin service mock-ups.
