Etihad appoints new country manager for Kuwait
Etihad Airways has appointed Nabil Matarweh Hijazine as the airline’s new Country Manager for Kuwait.
He takes over from Magdi Labib, who is now responsible for commercial activities in Cairo.
With more than 25 years’ aviation experience, Hijazine will manage all commercial operations in Kuwait.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ chief commercial officer, said: “Kuwait is pivotal to Etihad’s growth strategy and we are delighted to welcome Nabil to this important post.
“Nabil has acquired a wealth of experience and expertise in the airline industry over a number of decades, and we will be able to use his extensive knowledge and contacts in the Middle East region to further accelerate the success of our operations in Kuwait.”
Hijazine has previously worked for Qatar Airways, Emirates, Air France, BA and Royal Jordanian in several different countries.
