Dubai Logistics City collects European award
Dubai Logistics City (DLC) was handed the award for 'Best International Logistics Project' at the recent International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition in Spain.
More than a thousand logistics professionals attended the European awards night, which was chaired by Manel Nadal, secretary for mobility at the Governmental Institution of Catalonia, who presented the award to Michael Proffitt, DLC's chief executive officer.
"Our aim is to be continually recognised as a major supply chain community, meeting and exceeding global standards, and strengthening our position as the world's largest such project in a concentrated form," explained Proffitt.
"We also recognise the major role that Europe will play in the Middle East logistics industry, having already garnered interest from suppliers, freight forwarders, shippers and airlines, proving that DLC is truly a project of global standing. This recognition is a true indication of the practicality of our pioneering multi-modal concept," he added.
